Justin
Justin Asher began his composing and sound designing career in 1999 as a record producer and musician for artists on Touch and Go, Munich records, Astralworks, Koch records, Setola Di Maiale, Crammed records, Pogus Productions, Khalija records, pfMENTUM, and Bongo Beat records.
In 2004, he relocated to Los Angeles and became a composer/sound designer/engineer whose work has appeared in films for directors Zackary Drucker, Nick Citton, Philiane Phang, studios Bigfoot Entertainment, Stella Pictures, Levity Films, networks NPR, MTV, ABC, CBS, History Channel, Travel Network, as well as ads for Porsche, Target, Bestbuy, Harley Davidson, Ad Council, McDonalds, Sony, Hasbro, H&R Block, Fallon agency, Cadillac, and Grameen Bank. He also recorded voice over and ADR for video game companies Ubisoft, Activision and NCSoft.
In 2016, he founded Mnemonic Recordings, a digital audio publisher for interactive and narrative platforms. The company has since released a series of generative music apps, the Podcasts We Eat Art, Talking Buster Keaton , as well as the albums from Baudelaire to Beckett and TZATZI .
Colin
Colin Wambsgans worked for ten years at MediaUnbound, a media recommendations company as a media analyst and later as Director of Operations. After MediaUnbound was sold to Rovi Corporation in 2010, Colin continuted work as Lead Media Analyst for Rovi’s Search and Recommendations Services analyst team through 2013, primarily doing QT and management roles. Meanwhile, he was transitioning into more creative fields, attending the California Institute of Arts from 2009 to 2011 to study composition. Colin has written music for film, apps, and podcasts (most notably for NPR’s Embedded), and through an interest in field recording, he has created sound design projects for theater (notably at La Mama, Rogue Machine, and Chalk Rep) and film (with director Emilie Sabath ISLA and While the Trees Sleep). In 2017 he joined Mnemonic Recordings, a digital audio publisher, working alongside founder Justin Asher in company operations and production.
